Pappa con il pomodoro

(Tomato mash)

Put in a pot some small pieces of stale home-made bread, water, oil, garlic, pieces of tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper and cook all this foodstuff for about 15 minutes. Then add few olive oil and serve it.

This was a very poor course but really spread both in Mugello and Firenze.
