Centaury, Centaurium erythraea

This small plant, which is very common near woods or on meadows, has rosy flowers and only the inflorescence are used. It flowers in June-July and its flowers are picked up and then dried in shady and dry places.

Use
The plant has tonic and digestive properties similar to the ones of Gentiana, the infusion in white wine recoups the appetite and cures the constipation.
