Wild carrot, Daucus carota

Family of ombrelliferae

In the month of May meadows cover with a sort of white umbrellas with a dark red small flowers in the centre. These sort of umbrellas with flowers are wild carrots, which are considered the ancestors of common carrots cultivated in kitchen gardens.

The infusion of this plant in hot water has diuretic and carminative effects.
