Iris, Iris fiorentina

Family of iridaceae

In dry woods or along escarpments it is possible to find the iris (it is also cultivated in private gardens), which in May stretch out its lilac flowers towards the sky.

The stem, if left to infuse, has expectorant effects and if reduced in powder it represents the basis for toothpaste, face powder and other cosmetics.
