Vetriola, Parietaria
officinalis
|
|
Family of urticaceae
This small plant grows on old walls and that is the reason for the Latin
name "parietaria".
|
Use
It is used to make infusions and because of its diuretic properties,
it was believed it could destroy renal calculi and bladder-stones.
Its leaves and stems can be used to cook minestrone giving it an intense
green colour. |
