Pulicaria, Pulicaria dysenterica

Family of compositae

This plant grows along rivers and in generally in humid places, it blossoms in August with gold-yellow flowers which are similar to daisy.

Use
The Latin name indicates its main property in the cure of dysentery. We can use it in the same manner of our ancestors, that means to chase away the fleas from the dog's beds of our pets. Take the leaves of pulicaria, burn them and spread the ashes on the mattress of the dog or cat.
