Ciambelline al burro

(Small ring cakes with butter)

Typical Easter cake in San Godenzo.

  • 1 kilo of flour
  • 2 hectograms of butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 400 grams of sugar
  • 2 small bags of yeast.

Prepare a pasta by melting the butter and mixing it with eggs, sugar, flour and yeast. then form some "ciambelline" (small rings) and bake them in hot oven. The best "ciambelline" are the ones baked in wood-burning stove.
