Coniglio con le cipolle

(Rabbit with onions)

Cut a rabbit in pieces and soak it in water since the previous evening. Put the pieces in a pan with two onions cut in very thin slices, oil, butter, salt and a pinch of pepper. Cook it very slowly and serve it hot.
