 Skirting
round the Spuntone di S. Allago you often find yourself cycling on the
bare rocky substrata that comprises the skeleton of the Monti Pisani.
In some parts the rock rises up vertically, forming a number of enormous
rock faces that years ago an unknown artist decorated with elegant sculptures.
For this reason it is recommended that you take your time over this stretch
of the route so as not to miss these works which time and the elements
are inexorably wearing away.
