ince the late 70s, Riccardo Barthel has been selling entirely hand-crafted furnishing items in his "citadel of artisanship", as Barthel himself defines his 1200m2 workshop-showroom space in San Frediano, a historical quartiere of Florence and the heart of the restoration trade in the city. His philosophy is to think of (and feel) houses as clothes, where everything should be harmonious and closely in touch with the person living there. The final result of his work is entirely in line with the client's wishes, because the bathroom and the kitchen are the most intimate spaces in the house, where it is vital to feel completely at ease.
